Grants

The Tower Foundation’s mission is to enrich the educational experience of the students of Manhasset schools. At Tower, we support both extracurricular activities and academics that develop Manhasset students into contributing members of our community and society.

Professional Development Grants for Teachers/Staff

The Tower Foundation, as part of its gifts to the Manhasset Public Schools, has earmarked $10,000.00 for use by teachers/staff in each of the four schools. The goal is to broaden the educational horizons of the participant and ultimately benefit our students.

Any teacher or staff may apply for a Professional Development Grant. The individual grants, in amounts up to $500.00, will be awarded on the following basis:

• The professional development must take place outside of the school calendar year and within one year of the grant being awarded.

• The professional development must have a residual benefit to the students of one or more of the four Manhasset schools.

• The grant can only be used to cover the cost of the course and requisite materials. Transportation and accommodation expenses will not be covered.

After the application deadline, the Teacher Grant Committee will review the applications and make a determination based on need and potential benefit to the students.
